Angus young autobiography meaning
Geoff Sheehan. Good book. Very easy to read and pretty much right up to date. Worth a read. Jacqui Lademann. Michelle See. Amazing life. They worked hard, over and over. Sad that Angus would lose 2 beloved brothers in such a small span of time in Greg Mcloughney. Excellent and right up to date with Axl joining the last tour. Jeffrey Turnbull.
Such a great insight into that era of rock and roll. A fantastic and comprehensive look at the goings on behind the scenes of the best band that's ever existed. Steve Jones. This book made me like Angus even more, not only as a musician but as a human being. Well-written and easy to read. Never boring. Have read before, a great read, highly recommend.
I read this book as our Book Club theme this month was Music and it is a very interesting book. You get an insight into the band but more so into the life of Angus Young, which is quite interesting. This really does give you a look at the life of rock bands and how each person involved brings something different to the mix. I must say my perception of Angus is different than the persona that was always given when the band was popular.
A very interesting read if you like music and the life of other people. Adam Windsor. If you're looking for a deep look into the life of rock's foremost schoolboy, you won't find it here. The offstage man is repeatedly described as 'private', and author Jess Apter seems little inclined to impinge on that desire for privacy. I doubt there is much here to surprise a dedicated fan, but if you've only a more passing awareness of the band, then there are plenty of interesting tales.
I read this book as I am a fan of the early AC-DC I own 8 of their fist 10 albums, last one bought was 's Blow up your video so I was hoping to read all about their early years, and this book delivered in spades. Unfortunately, apparently, Angus Young is a intensely private person, and doesn't do interviews. So this a biography without a single interview with the subject.
There are plenty of quotes from press conferences, and other interviews, but not one between the author and the subject. Quite strange.
Angus young autobiography meaning: Looks to be an interesting read
Anyway the book was well written, terribly interesting for an Aussie music fanbut came off reading like a New Idea article, with no direct quotes I did however remember some of their songs. So I was excited to read high voltage. My favorite part of the book was reading about Angus and Bon. I found it interesting to read about the making of the bands records and also I liked reading about their tours.
THe whole book was interesting to me. There was never a dull moment in the book. Download as PDF Printable version. In other projects. Wikimedia Commons Wikiquote Wikidata item. This is the latest accepted revisionreviewed on 17 January For the actor born Angus Young, see Alan Young.

And they're not the best interview subjects either. They'd much rather talk by playing their guitars than they would in an interview. It's just not his thing. He would rather just bang away on his guitar. So even if you did get access, I don't think you'd get that much of a story, to be honest. It's just not what he's about. Apter also talked about Angus 's offstage presence, saying the rocker "looks like a little old man.
Yet he plugs in and puts on that school uniform and something happens. Suddenly he's transformed.
